We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Automation Test Engineer to join our client’s banking technology team in Sandton. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing both manual and automated test strategies to ensure the highest quality of software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for web and backend applications
• Conduct manual and automated testing to ensure application stability and functionality
• Create and execute test scripts using Selenium (Java/C#) and Playwright
• Perform performance and load testing using JMeter
• Identify, record, and track software defects and verify fixes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 8–10 years’ experience in manual and automation testing
• Strong knowledge of Selenium (Java/C#), Playwright, and JMeter
• Experience developing or maintaining custom automation frameworks
• Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
